Why is it important that the two houses of congress be split between the democrats and republicans?

IT'S NOT NECESSARILY NEEDED ----- IT'S THE DIVERSITY OF OUR COUNTRY THAT ELECTS WHO IS IN AT ANY GIVEN TIME . TO ME AND MY WAY OF THINKING -----YOU SHOULD HAVE A TEST TO SEE IF YOU QUALIFY TO VOTE . AFTER ALL YOU CAN'T DRIVE WITH OUT A LICENSE , OR DO A LOT OF JOBS WITHOUT A LICENSE . THE VOTE AND WHO'S IN OFFICE IS TO IMPORTANT TO LET A TOTALLY IGNORANT PERSON VOTE WITHOUT ANY KNOWLEDGE . OUR COUNTRY IS FAR TO IMPORTANT TO TRUST TO SOMEONE JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE A CITIZEN HEREWhy is it important that the two houses of congress be split between the democrats and republicans?
This gives a balance between conservative and liberal thinking. If only a Republican Party existed, it would eventually split into a very reactionary or fascist wing and more conservative wing. Likewise, the Democrats would split as well with 2 or 3 factions of conservative, liberal, and even more liberal.

Thus, the badge of Republican or Democrat is only a name. Why is it important that the two houses of congress be split between the democrats and republicans?
It isn't. It's terrible that is. We need more than just two parties in this country. When congress is split nothing ever gets done.
Run it like a successful corporation. Have corps run against each other.
Is it? I mean, both have done terrible jobs the past 8 years
