How do I split a movie?

I have a DVD movie that is copyrighted but I need to get a small part of the movie for my presentation like a 5 minute scene. Any way I could get around to do that?How do I split a movie?

It depends on the measures put on the DVD as protection. You may be able to right click-%26gt;open the DVD under my computer, then copy the right VOB file from Video_TS. You can crop that with any number of programs; I'd use DGIndex then Imago MPEG-Muxer.
