Splitting partitions?

ok so have installed windows and instead of splitting the partions in fdisk before installing windows, i decided just to leave it as the one partition. BUT is there anyway that now windows is installed that i can use a program that will split part of the spare space on that partition to create a new one?Splitting partitions?

If your Windows OS is a recent NT based one (2000, XP, Vista, 7), then you can use the Disk Management service. You can access the management console by right click my computer -%26gt; manage and it'll be listed under that, OR click on start -%26gt; run -%26gt; diskmgmt.msc and that will bring up the disk management utility where you can partition your unused spaces etc.
Just make sure the program you want to use has a statement somewhat like:

Partition WITHOUT loosing data. Or you'll end up getting two completely blank partitions and loosing everything.

Yes. Just use a partion manage such as Paragon Partition Manager, Partition Magic, or any of the hundreds of others that are available.
Hi.there is a very good program for making partitions inside your windows installation.it is called '; EASEUS partition manager 3.5 ';

you can find it and download it from '; freewarefiles.com '; or ';download.com ';. It is very easy to use and it's free. Good luck.
