keep it, mesquites are always worth it. they bring interesting wildlife to watch. they give a great look to the landscaping.I have a mesquite tree that is 2 years old that is split. Down it and start over or keep it?

This happened to my tree too. You can call a tree service and ask them to put a bolt in the middle of the tree to hold the trunk together. its worth it to keep it. Mesquite trees are pretty
Start over. You can hire an arborist to properly bolt the tree back together, but it will remain structurally weak and prone to disease and rot.....yeah, even a mesquite.
maybe you should cut it down, and plant a new pretty tree
