if u can, can show me where u found this. The canadian electrical codeSteps required to wire a duplex receptacle as a split switch receptacle?
There is a small tab between the hot terminals (brass terminals). Break this tab off. Hook the hot wire from the switch to one of the brass terminals, and the hot wire from the outlet power to the other brass terminal. Hook the neutrals to the other side of the receptacle, it doesnt matter which screw they go to because they have a small tab between them too (dont need to break it off).Steps required to wire a duplex receptacle as a split switch receptacle?
I don't see how. There is one input for line and one input for neutral, one out for line and one for neutral. The power runs through both;however, I have had only one outlet work when it was the end of the run. Why I don't know. If you try to put two live lines into the outlet, you'd get 220 and fry it. Why not just put two singles next to each other? let me know what you find out.
